The detail
What shade is burgundy?
Burgundy sits between red and brown on the colour spectrum, closer to a deep wine red than a true red, with just enough brown undertone to stop it feeling bright or flat. It’s darker and more muted than colours like claret or maroon, giving it a subdued, almost muted richness rather than anything bold or attention-grabbing. In different lights it can shift subtly, appearing almost black-red in shadow or low light, then revealing its warmer red tones under direct sun, which is part of why it reads as such a sophisticated, layered colour rather than a flat block of paint.

“We are having our windows , front and back doors, facias, soffits, guttering and down pipes replaced. The service we have received is outstanding. From the initial contact with Nick to everything being fitted my Cameron and Alan the service has been excellent. They are such a great local firm with a huge selection of choices for the windows and doors. Would highly recommend. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Thank you !”
“Alan fitted the doors beautifully, filling the gaps round the doors, before putting the capping on.”
